How will Play Therapy help?

Sand tray.JPGTraditional talking therapies usually don’t work with children as they simply cannot process cognitive conversations or develop ‘insights.’ Often, it can make matters worse as the child can feel a failure for not being able to do something their brain isn’t developed enough to do yet.

Play Therapy is your child’s opportunity to work through their thoughts and feelings using their natural form of expression, play. A variety of tools are used in the session, including art, clay, sand tray, music, puppets, masks, role-play and therapeutic storytelling.
